Journey from Bicycle Cafe to High-Quality Coffee Supplier

The Origin of Gereg Coffee

Gereg Coffee started in early 2017 as a unique cafe with a bicycle cafe concept. The name “GEREG” is taken from the northern dialect of Peninsular Malaysia which means “bicycle”. The cafe offers a unique combination of coffee enjoyment and bicycle sales and maintenance services.

At that time, our Cafe was divided into two parts:

1. Cafe – Customers enjoy fresh coffee and pastries.

2. Bicycle Shop – Providing bicycle sales and maintenance services by professional mechanics.

This concept allows bicycle owners to wait comfortably while enjoying coffee, watching their bikes being maintained, and experiencing a relaxing atmosphere created especially for them.

Transformation Towards Roasting Our Own Coffee

By 2019, the demand for fresh coffee increased dramatically. To ensure quality control and product freshness, we started our own coffee roasting operation. Thus was born Gereg Rostery, which initially only supplied coffee to Gereg Cafe in Perlis.

However, the response from cafes in Kedah and Penang has also increased. Today, we focus on supplying fresh coffee to:

• Cafes around Perlis, Kedah, and Penang.

• Retail customers via the Shopee platform.

Gereg Coffee’s New Focus

After more than six years of operation, we decided to focus entirely on supplying fresh roasted coffee beans to business entities.

We are not just a coffee supplier.
